After looking at 15 options, I rounded up the automatic pet feeders that actually let you see and talk to your pet from your phone, with prices running from about $48 to $150. The big things to compare are camera resolution (1080P is fine, 2K is sharper), whether the app works on 5G wifi, and if it can recognize multiple cats so everyone gets their own portion. If you just want to check in on one cat, a basic 1080P model does the job, but for a multi-pet house the recognition features are worth the extra cost.
