Tom Hollander is joining the cast of AMC's satirical drama "The Audacity" for its second season, the network announced Tuesday.
Hollander will play Big Tim in a recurring role, described as a powerful tech billionaire and CEO of Cupertino whose public persona masks his desire for control and revenge.
Production on the eight-episode season is underway in Vancouver, Canada. The show is set to return to AMC and AMC+ in 2027.
The casting adds a seasoned British actor to a series that takes aim at the wealthy and powerful. Hollander's recent credits include "Dune: Prophecy" and "The Uprising." He is also known for roles in "The White Lotus," "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Pride & Prejudice."
The character's name, Big Tim, and his title as CEO of Cupertino suggest a fictional stand-in for a Silicon Valley titan. Cupertino is the California headquarters of Apple. The show's satire appears aimed at tech executives and the influence they hold.
AMC has not released plot details for Season 2 or confirmed how many episodes will feature Hollander. The network also has not announced a premiere date beyond the 2027 window.
"The Audacity" is produced by AMC Studios. Season 1 drew attention for its sharp take on money, power and the people who chase both.
Hollander's addition follows a busy stretch for the actor. He appeared in the HBO prequel series "Dune: Prophecy" and earned an Emmy nomination for his role in Season 2 of "The White Lotus."
AMC has leaned on star-driven dramas in recent years as it competes with streaming rivals. The network has not said whether "The Audacity" will return for a third season.
Representatives for AMC declined to comment beyond the casting announcement. Hollander's representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
