Atlanta, GA — Residents and visitors attending the MLB All-Star events at Truist Park are advised to remain alert as flash flood warnings have been issued due to scattered thunderstorms expected throughout the week. The National Weather Service has highlighted the possibility of locally heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, and strong wind gusts, especially during afternoon and evening hours.

While the weekend saw mostly dry and hot conditions with temperatures climbing into the mid-90s and heat index values exceeding 100 degrees, isolated storms have increased the risk of flash flooding in some areas of North Georgia. Meteorologists urge caution, especially near low-lying and flood-prone zones.

FOX 5 Storm Team meteorologist Alex Forbes noted that although the storms are expected to be isolated, their intensity could lead to rapid water accumulation and hazardous driving conditions. The risk is particularly relevant for attendees traveling to and from Truist Park for All-Star Week festivities.

Officials recommend carrying umbrellas, staying hydrated, and monitoring local weather updates closely. Emergency services are on standby to respond to any weather-related incidents.

Despite the weather concerns, the MLB All-Star Game and related events continue as scheduled, with organizers prepared to adapt if conditions worsen.
